Synopsis: [?] [From The Moving Picture World]? Madge Rivers, the daughter of an old prospector, marries George West, a young miner. Jim Bunn is also a suitor for Madge’s hand, and when she accepts George West, he determines to be avenged. The young couple marry. Dunn never forgets his animosity, and finally discovers a way to gratify it. Overpowering the wife, he binds and gags her and places her in the room above the kitchen, then places poison in the water pitcher on the kitchen table. Familiar with the husband’s habits, he knows that he will drink from the pitcher when he returns from work. The wife realizes her husband's danger and strains vainly at her bonds. West enters his home, discovers his wife’s absence, but attaches no importance to it. He is about to drink when his life is saved by a man who comes to him determined to take it. He discovers his wife’s plight and sets out to punish Dunn. But fate takes the matter out of his hands and punishes Dunn in its own way.
