Synopsis: [?] [From The Moving Picture World]? The murder of a Chinaman in a slum gives the cub reporter his opportunity. In a saloon frequented by gangsters he rescues a girl from the attentions of a thug. Through her influence he is made a member of the gang. Their secrets begin to appear in the papers. The thug squares his grudge by treacherously shooting the reporter. The girl nurses him back to health. A notebook in his coat pocket excites her curiosity. It contains damning evidence of his treachery. But she loves him, and so she says nothing until he spurns her love. Then she denounces him, only to consider, after it is too late.
